Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
In the past two months we have seen the TAB Million Dollar Chase, The Ladbrokes 715, the Thunderbolt and the big events just continue, highlighted by the upcoming Group 1 finals of the Vic Peters and Peter Mosman Opal.
And the feature races big and small also continue each week and there are plenty scheduled this the upcoming week here in NSW, including the prestigious Grafton Carnival.
We’ll start this week with Grafton and on Wednesday July 6 the club has 350m 1-2 win heats with a $2,500 final as well as non-grade heats over 450m with a $10,000 final and over the 660m 5th grade heats with a $5,900 final.
Also on Wednesday July 6 at Richmond, there will be maiden heats over the 401m with a $1,500 final, and at Wentworth Park 5th grade 1-4 win heats over the 520m with an $8,000 final.
On Thursday July 7 at Casino we have over the 411m 5th grade 1-3 win heats with $2,000 final and that night at Dapto 297m 5th grade heats with a $2,000 final.
At Grafton on Friday July 8 we have 0-1 win heats over the 450m with a $7,000 final.
At Dubbo on Saturday July 9 there will be 400m 5th grade heats with a $2,000 final.
At Grafton on Sunday July 10 we will have maiden heats over the 350m with a $2,500 final, 5th grade heats over 350m with a $2,500 final and over the 450m 5th grade heats with a $3,000 final.
On Monday July 11 at Nowra we have 365m maiden heats with a $2,000 final, and finally on Tuesday July 12 at Casino, we will have 411m maiden heats with a $2,000 final.
Trainers should check the calendar on thedogs.com.au site for specific conditions that may be applicable to some events.
