Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
In the past seven weeks we have seen the TAB Million Dollar Chase, The Ladbrokes 715, the Thunderbolt and now Group 1 racing returns next week to Wentworth Park with the heats of the Vic Peters and Peter Mosman Opal.
The feature races big and small continue each week and there are plenty scheduled this the upcoming week here in NSW, including the start of the prestigious Grafton Carnival on July 3.
But we’ll start this week with Casino on Thursday June 30 and they have a non-grade Regional Origin Challenge Heat over the 484m with $5,000 to the winner.
On the same night at Dapto there is the non-grade (1/2/3/4th grades) Dapto Silver Collar over the 520m with $10,000 to the winner.
At Richmond on Friday July 1 over the 520m, we have 1-2 win heats with a $2,500 final, then the following day up the straight track at Richmond we have 5th grade heats with a $2,000 final.
On Saturday July 2 at Wentworth Park we have heats of the Group 1 Vic Peters and Group 1 Peter Mosman Opal over the 520m with $75,000 finals the following week.
On Sunday July 3 Grafton has their heats of the maiden over 450m with a $15,000 final.
On Monday July 4 at Nowra there will be 5th grade 1-4 win heats over 520m with a $4,000 final and also that night at Maitland there will be 5th grade 1-3 win heats over 400m with a $2,000 final.
Finally on Tuesday July 5 at Temora we have 1-2 win heats over the 330m with a $2,000 final and also on July 5 at Bulli 5th grade 1-3 win heats over 400m with a $3,000 final.
Trainers should check the calendar on thedogs.com.au site for specific conditions that may be applicable to some events.
