Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
The TAB Million Dollar Chase is headed to the pointy end with the semi-finals of the series scheduled for next Friday night, April 29, but there are also a lot of other feature events around the State across the next week to 10 days too.
Let’s take a look at all the features big and small, scheduled for this week.
At Wentworth Park on Friday April 29, as well as the eight semi-finals of the Million Dollar Chase, there will be heats of the Gold Cup over the 720m with a $50,000 to the winner final.
On Saturday April 30 at Wentworth Park, there will be heats of the Ladies Bracelet over 520m and also heats of the Bob Payne Sprint over 520m, each with a $25,000 to the winner final.
At LADBROKES GARDENS on Saturday April 30 we have 5th grade heats over the 400m with a $4,500 final, and on the same big night, at Dubbo there is scheduled 5th grade heats over 400m with a $2,500 final and also Best 8 (any grade) over 516m worth $5,000 to the winner.
At Grafton on Sunday May 1 the Grafton Cup heats will be held over the 450m with a $25,000 final.
On Monday May 2 at Nowra 1-4 win, 5th grade heats over 365m will be run with a $2,500 final, and also on May 2 at Maitland, will be 1-2 win heats over 450m with a $2,500 final.
And finally on Tuesday May 3, at Bulli there will be 1-3 win 5th grade heats over 400m with a $3,000 final, and at Casino maiden heats over the 300m with a $2,000 final.
Trainers should check the calendar on thedogs.com.au site for specific conditions that may be applicable to some events.
