Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
The huge month of racing in the regions continues with the Mega Month of Regional Racing and more than $1 million in prizemoney on offer just in feature events around the State.
The spotlight will be on Grafton this Sunday with inaugural running of The Thunderbolt final, the world’s richest short-course event.
But there’s still a lot of great feature events big and small, scheduled for this week around the State.
We’ll start with Richmond on Wednesday June 22 and we have 320m maiden heats with a $1,500 final.
On Thursday June 23 and Casino we have a 620m non grade (any grade) worth $5,000 to the winner, while on the same night at Dapto we have 520m 5th grade heats with a $2,500 final.
On Friday June 23 at Goulburn the club has 440m 5th grade heats with a $2,500 final, while at Richmond that night the club hosts their $40,000 Derby and Oaks finals.
And finally at Casino on Tuesday June 28 we have 300m maiden heats with a $2,000 final.
Trainers should check the calendar on thedogs.com.au site for specific conditions that may be applicable to some events.
