Important Information About The Nationals For Trainers

Greyhound Racing NSW will this year host the national finals of the Sprint and Distance Championships, at Wentworth Park on August 27.

Again, State heats and finals will be held around the country in the weeks leading up to the National Championship finals in Sydney.

Trainers need to be made aware that greyhounds need to be domiciled in NSW for a minimum of 76 days of the 150 days immediately preceding the nominations’ closing date.

For NSW participants the Sprint State Nationals heats will be on August 6, the Distance State Nationals Final is on August 11 and the Straight Track Nationals heats will be on 13 August.

This means that 76 days preceding the nominations’ closing date of the State Sprint National heats will be May 19, for the Distance Championship Final it will be May 24, and for the Straight Track National heats it will be May 25.
