Sunset to Descend on Wentworth Park

Sunset Bourbski will be nominated for a 0-2 wins 618m event at Richmond on Sunday and then head to Wentworth Park following her impressive win at Bathurst on Monday.

The former Victorian, owned and trained at Wallerawang by Ross Davidson, came from a long way back to score an easy 618m victory at Bathurst.

"There is a 618m 0-2 wins advertised at Richmond Sunday and after that there is 0-3 wins event over 720m programmed for Wentworth Park on Wednesday, June 17,'' Davidson said.

"I'm confident Sunset Bourbski is going to become a good stayer so this calendar gives me a good build-up for my greyhound.''

At Bathurst Sunset Bourbski found a lot of early trouble through attempting to get wide from her box two draw, but once she got into the clear she powered him to win by four lengths.

Ketakey is likely to have just one more short course start before being stepped up to 520m again following her runaway win in the best time of the night over 365m at Nowra on Monday.

Ketakey took her record to 14 wins from 27 appearances with her slick 20.67 performance and trainer Patrick Mulrine is now looking at getting his greyhound back to Wentworth Park for a 520m race.

"She would not have blown a candle out after her 365m win on Monday so I will give her another sprint and then enter her for a Dapto 520m race,'' Mulrine said.

"Dapto 520m is easier than the same distance at Wenty Park so that will be a good pipe opener for Ketakey before I take her to town again.''

Last preparation Mulrine adopted the same tactics, with Ketakey scoring over 520m at Dapto off a sprint preparation and then landing a winning double over 520m at Wentworth Park.
