NSW National Straight Track Championships Heats This Weekend

By GRNSW
The Richmond Straight track has been a resounding success since opening in April this year, and this Saturday the venue will host the NSW National Championship heats.

NSW is now one of four States which conduct TAB racing on a straight track, and each of the four States will supply two candidates to compete for the title of 2021 National Straight Track Champion next month.

Murray Bridge will host the South Australian event over 350m, Healesville will host the Victorian series over their 350m trip, and Queensland will run their State series at Capalaba over the 366m journey.

The National Championship Final will be held at Capalaba on December 19 over the 366m trip, with the winner to receive $25,000.

The series has been rescheduled and the final now coincides with the easing of Queensland border restrictions for fully vaccinated people.

Nominations for the event at Richmond will close on Wednesday, November 24, and full conditions and details can be found on the Calendar.
