With the recent completion and opening of its new track, the Richmond club will not only crown a State Straight Track Champion next month, but also supply two contenders for this year’s National Straight Track Championship in Queensland.

NSW, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria will each host heats and State finals in July/August, before the National title is decided at Capalaba on August 15, where the winner will collect $25,000.

First and second from the four State Finals advance to the National Final.

NSW will be the first State to conduct their series and determine a State champion and National qualifiers, with heats to be run at Richmond on July 24, and the State final a week later on July 31. The final will be a $5,000 to the winner event. Nominations for the NSW series close on July 21.

Healesville will host the Victorian titles with heats on July 25 and the Victorian champion crowned in the final on August 1.

South Australia will run their title at Murray Bridge with heats on July 28 and the final on August 3.

The Queenslanders will run their State heats on August 1 at Capalaba, with the State final a week later on August 8, followed a week later by the National Final.
