In her debut assignment on October 15, Little Jeaney registered 18.58 when able to dictate from box one before gamely cutting Can Go down seven days later in 18.44.
While quick to begin in her Red Dog heat on November 12, Little Jeaney was pressed by Charming Meeka in the run to the first turn yet was able to get clear and went on to score by three lengths.
Her winning time (18.69) was the slowest of the five heats with Noel’s Desire setting the benchmark at 18.39. The Cootamundra-based Noel’s Desire has secured box two in the $2, 200 to-the-winner decider and will be particularly tough to beat.
First up from an 11-week break on November 12, Noel’s Desire was only fourth to begin from box five but rallied to go after leader Mystic Faith and collared her in the final bound to score narrowly but impressively. The remaining heats were secured by Kate’s Desire (18.58), Visualise Me (18.49) and Sunbird Izmir (18.61).
Little Jeaney’s siblings - Code Cracker, Delta Storm and Lanning – each boast three career wins from limited starts with the littermates winning strike rate an impressive 44.4 per cent. Win four beckons yet the task is by no means easy.
