Good Odds To Get The Bulli Cash Again

By Jeff Collerson
Good Odds Cash moves from box three to box seven tonight following her near record 472m win at Bulli on Saturday but statistics suggest she will have no trouble handling her wide draw.

The Tracey Hurst-trained bitch, who will wear the black rug in the Ladbrokes Same Race Multi Stakes, is unbeaten in three races from boxes seven and eight.

Even her record from box six is impressive as she has won two from three races in the green jacket.

Good Odds Cash will need to bring her best form back to Bulli with Ebby Jet Power (five) a legitimate threat, but the scratching of Aston Barak has certainly helped her chances.

While Good Odds Cash will be all the rage in race seven, tonight's best bet looks to be Hyperventilate, in the final event, a 340m fourth and fifth grade.

Hyperventilate has had three wins and two placings from five Bulli 340m appearances and Darrin Croser, whose wife Jo-Ann trains the dog, is keen on his chances.

"Hyperventilate's fastest win at Bulli was in 19.11 but he has also trialled 19.01 there,'' Croser said.

"When he finished third over 400m there last Wednesday, Hyperventilate was having only his third race after five weeks on the sidelines.

"If he comes out like he can he will be hard to beat, but I'm hoping he doesn't dwell at the start because if he does that from box one he could get squashed up on the rails.''

Supersonic Blue was desperately unlucky then third from box eight at Bulli last Wednesday and has drawn the same box in tonight's 400m Ladbrokes Easy Form Stakes.

But trainer Robert Hancock believes his dog has enough early zip to overcome his outside draw.

"He was trapped three wide all the way until he found the fence when he ran third to Hardaway Ranger at Bulli last week and then he was a certainty beaten when third up the straight at Richmond over 324m on Saturday,'' Hancock said.

"His Richmond run was super because he found plenty of trouble and was beaten a head and a head.''

One of Supersonic Blue's toughest rivals looks to be Cop Magnet, who is dropping back from the Bulli 472m trip to 400m.

His trainer Andrew Bell said: "Coming back in distance won't affect him because I nominated Cop Magnet for a 400m race as I wanted to freshen him up a bit after his second placing there over 472m on Saturday.''

Lochinvar Lona recorded fastest time of the night winning in 22.41 over 400m at Bulli from box eight last Wednesday and trainer Ruth King considers the dog more suitably drawn in tonight's Southern Engineering Reconditioning Stakes over the same trip.

Lochinvar Lona has box two tonight and King said: "He is a mad railer, he scrapes the inside fence.

"Lochinvar Lona is better off drawn on the inside because he won't have to work hard to find the fence.''

King is wary of Sterlo Magic (box eight) who has won two of five Bulli 400m appearances and is down in class tonight.

How Good flashed home to win in a slick 26.48 over 472m at Bulli on Saturday and has drawn box one over the same course in tonight's The Phoenix Is Coming Stakes.

"I nominated him for a 515m race on Saturday and sent in the same entry for this week but he also goes pretty well over 472m,'' trainer Rodney O'Brien said.

"How Good had box seven when he won on Saturday and made his own luck, weaving in and out and keeping himself out of trouble.

"I think he likes being drawn out wide but because he holds his line he should handle box one okay.

"And last Saturday How Good was having his first start after being nine days without a run.''
