No Donuts Aiming For Sweet New Sensation Success

By Stuart Turner

Winsome Jacko and ZIPPING Eastwood go head-to-head while Richmond Derby finalists No Donuts and ZIPPING Sonny also look strong contenders for the Group 3 New Sensation.

Six Heats of the $25,000-to-the-winner take place at Wentworth Park this Friday, with some terrific action in store.

Winsome Jacko has been a handy performer since exploding onto the scene with a dazzling track record at Maitland last October.

He has perhaps not quite fulfilled his potential yet but does have two Wentworth Park triumphs to his name, including a superb 29.61 effort in December last year.

That was from box one, where he will start from here.

ZIPPING Eastwood (pictured, black rug) has secured two Wentworth Park victories, including a 29.91 run last month.

He has also trialled well here and has been running solidly if not spectacularly recently.

The pair look the standout contenders in Heat three.

Heat one features Country Fox (box six), an in-form chaser trainer Neil Staines believes could be a strong contender for the series.

The greyhound already has a 30.01 run under his belt over this distance at Wentworth Park.

Star Torana is another greyhound in flying form and looks drawn to take out the second Heat.

She jumps from box one, with the strongest opponent looking like consistent Devil Prince (box four).

No Donuts is fresh from a superb Richmond Derby series, where he finished second in last Friday’s final.

He only has one previous outing at Wentworth Park but on current form looks tough to stop from box eight.

Topper Road (box six) has been running well since the turn of the year and could be a strong contender.

He has already run 29.80 at Wentworth Park and is usually excellent from the middle boxes too.

Heat five hopeful Fantastic Sid has enjoyed some notable wins at Wentworth Park and ran a sizzling 29.54 over the 520m at Dapto last week.

He should be too strong here from box two.

ZIPPING Sonny produced a powerful display to finish third in last Saturday’s Richmond Derby final and looks a good chance in the sixth Heat.

He jumps from box five and again is usually reliable from the middle boxes.

The New Sensation is part of the Golden Easter Egg series and the Heats are part of a great line-up of racing at Wentworth Park this Friday night.
