The 2022 Taree Cup was taken out by the Michael Edwards-trained Winlock On Top after a fantastic front running performance.

The pre-race favourite jumped superbly from Box 7 and carved his way across the face of the field to find the lead. He put as many as eight lengths on the chasing pack midway through the race, and although he tired late, he held on to secure the Cup ahead of Jimary Spitfire in a time of 31.58.

The 2021 Taree Cup was a thrilling affair with impressive heat winners Tigress Eye and Ice Reina expected to dominate.

But it was a roughie, the Pat Parrelli's Tatum just winning the $7,000 final over another roughie Guided By Soul.
