For many in the greyhound industry and plenty outside of it, the famous Coonamble Racing Carnival sits on top of their bucket list.

First run in 1977, the Carnival is held over the October Long Weekend, with an abundance of Racing on the Friday, Saturday and then Monday.

Numerous big kennels target the weekend with their unraced pups in the Maiden series, and their kennel stars in the Gold Cup.
