Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) advises that it has received notification from the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory of the presence of O-desmethylvenlafaxine in the sample taken from Platinum Magic after it won the South Kempsey Tyres Maiden at the Kempsey meeting on 31 January 2015.
Trainer Joanne Willis has been advised of the irregularity, with the reserve portion of the sample forwarded to another accredited laboratory for further confirmatory analysis. Upon confirmation or otherwise the matter will proceed having regard to the protocols established under GRNSW’s penalty guideline system.
