A new event on the feature race calendar, the Easter Bunny Final attracted some smart young pups and among them was Mark Gatt's Zipping Stewie.

Zipping Stewie led from the first turn and from that moment gave his rivals no chance, winning in 29.91s and collecting the major share of the $10,000 prizemoney.

In 2023, Sweet Venom claimed the race for trainer Greg Sutherland.
