There is always plenty happening for greyhound participants both in and out of the industry, and that has only increased in recent times.
To help keep everyone across some of the upcoming events, and make sure you don’t miss anything, each Friday afternoon Greyhound Racing NSW will publish a Weekly Update, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
While the big Group events will always receive extra coverage, and the calendar on thedogs.com.au will remain the place where participants can see all the upcoming racing, the Weekly Update will hand pick a few of the smaller features which may entice participants.
First up this week, Richmond will hold 400m Maiden Heats on Wednesday 26 January.
The Dapto club next Thursday, 27 January, will have 5th Grade Heats over 520m which will carry a $2500 to the winner final.
On Monday 31 January, Bathurst will host the heats of their Group 3 Bathurst Cup, with the final worth $40,000 to the winner. The club will also hold Non Grade 307m (1/2/3/4th Grade) Heats for best 16 + reserves with a $3000 final.
Also on Monday 31 January, Nowra’s Anniversary Cup will be held, a Non Grade 630m event worth $5000 to the winner.
And finally Bulli has programmed 1-3 win heats over 400m with a $2500 final, on Tuesday 1 February.
Please also note that the Racing Operations’ department will be closed on Wednesday 26 January for the Australia Day public holiday. Therefore, nominations for Richmond Straight on Saturday 29 January will close at 9am, Thursday 27 January.
