Straight track racing is set to return to New South Wales this month, with the Richmond Straight track to be officially opened next week, and the first race meeting scheduled for Saturday, April 24.
The straight track, which is a Track and Infrastructure Upgrade, Extension and Remediation of the existing Richmond slipping track, will see straight track TAB racing in NSW for the first time ever.

Some of the features of the new turf track - which has a race distance of 324m - will be the innovative Safe Chase, battery operated, cableless lure, and the IsoLynx greyhound tracking and timing system.

Richmond conducted the first trials on the track on Tuesday morning, the first hit out being a success.
