COVID-19 Restrictions Announcement

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) and the Greyhound Welfare & Integrity Commission (GWIC) wish to advise all participants of changes to COVID-19 restrictions and regulations following the announcement from the NSW Government today.

The Premier of NSW, the Hon. Gladys Berejiklian announced on Saturday that face masks will be mandatory in the following indoor settings: shopping (retail, supermarkets and shopping centres), public and shared transport, indoor entertainment (including cinemas and theatres), places of worship, hair and beauty premises.

Face masks will also be mandatory for all staff in hospitality venues and casinos and for patrons using gaming services. Compliance will start from Monday, January 4, 2021 with $200 on the spot fines for individuals for non-Compliance. Children under 12 are exempt.

Following this announcement, GRNSW has decided that from midnight tonight, January 2, 2021, it is now compulsory for all people attending race meetings in the Greater Sydney Region (Wentworth Park, Gosford, Richmond, Bulli and Dapto), to wear a face mask indoors at these facilities which includes kennelling and hospitality areas, until further notice.
People attending these venues are asked to bring their own face masks, however, race clubs will have masks available for people to utilize if needed.

There have been no other changes to health advice requirements.
