The Taree Silver Bullet was first run in 2021 and is a race for fourth and fifth grade greyhounds over the 392m.

The event was taken out by the Malcolm Ross-prepared Jimary Matrix in it's first year, with the daughter of Don't Knocka Him and Jimary Magic enjoying a perfect rails run from Box 1.

Sunrise Trooper was fastest away in Box 2 and led them easily through the first 50m of the contest, but up the back straight it just rolled off the rail enough to open up a perfect alley for Jimary Matrix to punch through and find the lead. Form there it was always going to be tough to run him down, with the final margin a comfortable 4.5 lengths to Pugley's Girl in second, with Sunrise Trooper running home in third spot.

In 2022, Cosmic Belle added her name to the honour roll after demolishing the final field by 5.25 lengths. The pre-race favourite had Box 1 in the decider and once she found the front through the early stages it was all over bar the shouting. Dan Stone claimed the $6000-to-the-winner cheque, with Cosmic Belle setting a new race record of 22.29.
