The Regional Reward is a part of the Million Dollar Chase series, and features on the Grand Final night of the world’s richest greyhound event.

The Regional Reward is for the best eight greyhounds which have competed in a Qualifying Final (Regional or City) of the Million Dollar Chase, but failed to qualify for that event’s Grand Final, and which are trained by a person whose registered kennel is located in Regional NSW.

The race was taken out in 2018 by the Rob Tyler-trained Modus Operandi, then the 2019 edition almost stole the show from the night’s feature event.

Cult hero Feral Franky had fallen in the semi-finals of the Million Dollar Chase a week earlier, but after making sure he had not sustained an injury or any harm from the tumble, trainer Jack Smith brought the dog back to Wentworth Park for the Regional Reward, and The Feral perfectly brought down the curtain on the night, winning the final event on the program.
