One of the features of the Grafton club's annual Winter Carnival.

Run over the 610m trip, the Cup has been won by some smart middle distance performers over the years.

Yass trainer Neil Staines, a regular visitor to the carnival, has won two of the past six Cups with Pumped Up Zarr in 2014 and Roman Nose Zarr in 2018.

In 2019, the Cup was won by a roughie, Kulu Eagle, trained by Brett Hastie.

The 2020 Grafton Carnival was one of many casualties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the event cancelled, but it was back with a bang in 2021.

The multi-million dollar new racetrack at Grafton was opened just in time for the 2021 Winter Carnival and it opened to rave reviews, including one from leading trainer Jason Mackay who brought a team north for the features and walked away with not only the rich Maiden Final, but also the Stayers event.

Cool Bourbski - a sister of star stayer Sunset Bourbski - had only been in Mackay for three starts but she showed she is ready to step out of her sister's shadow with a strong win the Grafton carnival's distance feature.

Queensland bitch Sunburst crossed the border in 2022 and showing brilliant dash from the boxes the Jedda Cutlack-trained greyhound led around the first turn and was never headed in taking out the Stayers Cup.
