Two more Gosford meetings have been transferred to The Gardens as project timelines and funding discussions continue between Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) and the NSW GBOTA.
The meetings scheduled for Gosford on 25 April, 2 May have been transferred to The Gardens.
Racing has not taken place at Gosford since 7 March after it was determined that the Gosford track had significant issues with the track base as a result of recent heavy rainfall and a number of legacy issues related to the track construction.
The main area of concern with the Gosford track is that the old track base contents are rising up through the racing surface, presenting a number of safety concerns.
Project timelines and funding discussions between GRNSW and the NSW GBOTA are expected to be finalised this week.
GRNSW has once again made the decision to transfer the meetings to The Gardens in an effort to provide participants in the Central Coast and Hunter regions with like-for-like racing across two turn venues, and due to the strong nomination flows that have been received for the meetings that have already been transferred from Gosford to The Gardens.
Nominations for the transferred meetings at The Gardens will all close at 9am the Thursday before the meeting.
