On 28 November 2016 Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) charged trainer Ms Charmaine Roberts under rule 83(2) of the GRNSW Greyhound Racing Rules as follows:
That you, Charmaine Roberts, a registered trainer, while in charge of the greyhound ‘Jay Jay Keeping’ presented the greyhound for the purpose of competing in race two at Dubbo on 24 April 2016 in circumstances where the greyhound was not free of any prohibited substance.
The prohibited substance was cobalt.
Following Ms Robert’s early guilty plea to the charge and consideration of the factors, GRNSW Stewards determined to impose a period of suspension of eight weeks.
A copy of the decision of GRNSW can be found here.
Ms Roberts has been notified of her rights of appeal.
