Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) would like to advise that the meeting scheduled for The Gardens on Saturday, 9 January 2016, has been transferred to the Gosford greyhound track.
The heavy rainfall throughout the Hunter region this week has resulted in the majority of The Gardens track to be submerged in up to four inches of water (see picture).
Given the extensive repair work will have to take place to certain sections of the track before racing can resume at The Gardens, GRNSW has made the decision to transfer the meeting at this early stage to provide the best possible chance for the race meeting to take place.
The transfer to Gosford will not result in any race distance changes or changes to race times.
The first race is due to start at 5.34pm with kennels closing at 4.49pm.
The performance trials scheduled for The Gardens on Saturday have been cancelled and no reserve trials will be staged.
GRNSW would like to thank the GBOTA for assisting with the transfer of Saturday’s meeting.
Membership is free and will allow you to stay up to date with all the latest information about greyhound racing as well as access to most areas of the website.
