Wentworth Park is the showpiece of greyhound racing in NSW with first class amenities including a two level grandstand, ensuring that every patron has an uninterrupted view of the entire track from any seat within the stand. Metropolitan racing occurs every Friday and Saturday throughout the entire year. Excellent facilities are available for patrons including a restaurant, bars, kiosks, function rooms, and indoor betting pavilion. The track has a loam surface and a cable lure system is in operation.
The Wentworth Park complex is located on Wentworth Park Road Glebe.
TAB C Meetings – Open 90 minutes prior and close 45 minutes prior to Race 1
All race day trials must be purchased from the Race Night Office prior to jump of Race 8. Kennel space is limited, and is first in best dressed, coordinated through the Steward. Must be kennelled prior to close of kennels and first priority is given to Stewards and Performance Trials.
Tuesday Public Trial Sessions
Standard into Pen trials from 6pm. Trials are sold as Solos only, multiple greyhounds per trial permitted, solo fee applies per trial.
Arm Trials by booking from 7.25pm (week where no Monday racing) and 7pm (week where Monday racing occurs).
Bookings must be through Head Office (02 8587 1202) 3pm on the Tuesday.
Costs – effective January 1, 2015
Field (Race nights only) $5.50 per greyhound
Finish On - $16 per trial
Finish On - $9 per rabbit
Wentworth Park provides Clovalley Game Rabbits for Finish On trials, one per kennel. NSW GBOTA will ensure:
• No external skins allowed to be tied on to the arm. Wentworth Park will change the skin regularly;
• Staff only to tie and remove attachments. This is to ensure correct disposal and cleanliness of the area. An audit of items used each week will occur by Head Office staff;
• Squeakers permissible, once shown to a trial supervisor.
