Greyhound Racing NSW advises that NSW Racing Appeals Tribunal Chairman Mr David Armati has ruled on the appeal of trainer Mr Matthew Gray against two convictions under GAR 86(o) and one conviction under GAR 86(q) imposed by GRNSW Stewards following inquiries into the behaviour of Mr Gray at the Broken Hill meeting on 6 October 2012.
Mr Gray appealed the penalty of three months disqualification for breaching GAR 86(q) and being fined a total of $2,200 ($700 of which was suspended) for breaching GAR 86(o). The appeal hearing was conducted on 17 December 2012.
The appeal against the severity of the penalties was dismissed. Mr Gray's appeal deposit was forfeited.
