TAB Meetings
The deadline for notification of a scratching at all TAB meetings is 9am on the day of the meeting. Scratchings can be made online here through the nominations portal using your log-in details or by phoning GRNSW on 1300 797 538.
Non-TAB Meetings
To scratch a greyhound at a Non-TAB meeting you must contact the Club concerned. Scratchings at Non-TAB meetings can be made right up until the close of kennels on the day of the meeting. Contact details for all Clubs can be found here under the “Tracks” section.
It is the responsibility of the trainer of a greyhound to scratch it from any subsequent engagement if the greyhound becomes ineligible for that event for any reason, e.g. winning a maiden beforehand, incurring a stand down incapacitation due to being injured in running, marring, failing to pursue, unsatisfactory performance or for being scratched from any prior event.
Scratchings are posted on thedogs.com.au website as they occur, whilst final scratchings are usually posted by 9.30am daily. It is the responsibility of the trainer to check whether or not a reserve dog has gained a start at a meeting. GRNSW endeavours to contact each trainer when a reserve receives a start, however it is not always possible to reach everyone. Trainers with reserves are encouraged to remain close to the phone on the morning of the meeting.
Scratchings: 1300 797 538 between 8-9am 7 days a week.

In coming weeks GRNSW will move to grading meetings on its new OzChase system. To coincide with this change GRNSW is moving to one combined NSW Grading Policy, rather than maintaining separate TAB and Non-TAB policies. Feedback on the changes, particularly as they relate to Non-TAB grading, is now called for.
