The National Coursing Association (NCA) will introduce claiming races at Unibet Gardens' Saturday meetings throughout November, with two races over 400m scheduled at each meeting.
The claiming races will be held on the following dates:
- 3 November
- 10 November
- 17 November
- 24 November
The initial claiming races at Unibet Gardens will have a price tag of $2,500, meaning all runners will be valued at that price.
Prior to an owner or trainer nominating for a claiming race, an owner's declaration form must be lodged. This form will indicate the minimum claiming price that particular greyhound can be nominated for.
Once the authority form is lodged that greyhound can be nominated for any claiming race.
If a person wants to purchase a greyhound from a claiming race they need to lodge a claim form with a Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) Steward no later than 15 minutes prior to the advertised starting time of the race in question.
