GRNSW considers that the welfare of all animals must be a primary consideration for all participants in the greyhound racing industry.
Greyhound racing in NSW is governed by the Australian Greyhound Racing Rules and the Local Rules for Greyhound Racing.
A Greyhound and Animal Welfare Policy has also been implemented which outlines standards of care and management for each stage in the life cycle of a greyhound. Greyhound Racing NSW funds and manages the Greyhounds as Pets initiative with a commitment of $150,000 in 2008.
